Year 4 News

Year 4 have been reading poems by Valarie Bloom in English and have created some excellent poems inspired by her writing.

“The trees sway with a woosh in the stormy rapid wind,

Birds take flight while they chirp joyfully,

The rain pouring down with a pitter-pattering sound.

That’s what I see through my window”

written by AL

“The wind’s singing, it’s a soft hum,

Birds chirping high in the trees,

Children laughing, shouting having fun.

That’s what I see through my window.”

written by MP

In science we have created food chains. The children learnt that all energy comes from the sun. There is then a plant (a producer) a consumer eats the plant and then a predator eats the consumer. The children used their knowledge of animals from across the world to make their own food chains.
