GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Breakfast Club

Children at Hammond are eligible to join the Lightwater Village School Breakfast Club. The club is located in the school hall and provides a safe and stimulating environment for children whose parents need to drop children off at school before the start of the school day. Access to the club is via the Catena Rise entrance/playground. There is a walking bus system in place to take Hammond children across the field in time for their morning registration.

The Breakfast Club therefore gives children an opportunity to socialise with children across the Federation of Lightwater Schools and to make different friendships to the ones they might enjoy during the normal school day. The Club provides a range of activities each morning which might include craft activities, games, toy cars, scooters, ball games and sit and ride toys in the playground.

Lightwater Village School Breakfast Club is operated by staff employed by the school and runs daily from 7:30am – 8:30/8.45am during term time (Breakfast is served from 8am).  Fees are £6.00 per session from September 2023, payable half a term in advance via ParentMail.  Children may attend every session or just selected sessions each week.  It is possible to use childcare vouchers to pay for this service and the school is currently registered with the following providers:

  • Edenred
  • Care 4
  • Gemelli
  • Fideliti
  • Computershare
  • Sodexo
  • Kiddivouchers

The school is also set up to receive payments through Tax Free Childcare.

If you only require very occasional use of the Breakfast club it is possible for children to attend on an 'ad hoc' basis. In this instance you simply turn up at the club on the morning it is required and pay the £6 session fee in cash to staff on the door. Please be advised that you will need to complete a registration form on the first occasion your child attends, as it is important that staff are aware of any medical or dietary requirements your child may have and that they hold parent contact information in the case of an emergency.

At the end of the school day Lightwater Village children will be registered with the In2Care team in the school Hall and Hammond children will be collected by someone from In2Care and escorted across to Lightwater Village for registration - then the fun begins!

At the end of the care club, at 4.30pm or 6pm when you collect, we ask that you call the care club number to let staff know you have arrived. This number will be on the school gate. A member of the team will help your child collect their belongings and walk them to the gate by the boiler room to handover to you.

In2Care offers a snack menu full of variety so they ask that your child does not come to the care club with a snack. Please ensure they are aware of any allergies, intolerances of preferences via email.

Please feel free to contact In2Care if you have any questions regarding their wrap around care using their email info@in-2-care.co.uk.
