Year 6 News
Year 6 have had a busy week with auditions for our production, ‘I’m an 11 year old, get me out of here!’, they all did a great job! We look forward to starting rehearsals and we will communicate parts, and any costumes needed after half term.
We have also had a wonderful time at our joint Pride Party and Outdoor Learning Day where we joined Yellow Team from Lightwater Village School to do a scavenger hunt on the field and created flip books on adaptation as part of our wider curriculum learning.
We have continued our reading lessons on ‘Dare to be you’ and our writing fantasy story based on Skellig.
In maths, we have started our ‘Futures’ lesson, learning about how to calculate annual salaries and hourly rates including taxable incomes. We are all looking forward to our residential after half term. A reminder to parents that children need to bring in a snack and packed lunch on Wednesday 4th June to take on our trip.
