Year 4 - News

This half term, Year 4 are learning about different climate zones and biomes. We have been looking at world maps this week to see where different climates and biomes are located.

In English we are focusing on persuasive writing. We began the half term by reading a book about Malala - a Pakistani girl who spoke out about the importance of education. We have watched her Nobel Peace Prize speech and practised delivering her speech in the same passionate way she did. We’re now writing our own persuasive letters about something we’d like to change at Hammond.

Last week, many Year 4 pupils participated in Bikeability. The children practised key cycling skills on the school playground and earnt their level 1 certificates. Well done to everyone who took part!
