Vision, Values and Aims
At Hammond School … We use our core values to inspire, challenge and prepare our children for the future by 'achieving excellence together'...
Our set of core values lie at the heart of our high expectations for all.
Our values of Respect, Resilience, Thoughtfulness, Cooperation, Trust, Responsibility and Pride are actively taught to children so they know what this looks like and what core behaviours they entail. These values then form the basis of our expectations for behaviour and learning throughout the school.
We respect our school environment and look after our property.
It’s ok if we don’t succeed at first, our resilience helps us to keep going.
We consider the feelings of friends and others, We know how to be a good friend.
Cooperation means you work as a team to be successful, Cooperation means you listen to each other.
We can make good decisions about who is trustworthy and who is not, We do not hide the truth.
We are all responsible for our own actions, Taking responsibility is an important part of growing up.
We have pride in our school, uniform and our work
We recognise pupils who demonstrate these values through weekly awards and celebrations, culminating in our termly ‘Pride Award’ which is voted for by the pupils to award those who encapsulate all of the values, all of the time.
