GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

HSA

The Hammond School Association is the social hub of our school community. All parents are automatically members of our Parents’ Association and we invite everyone to get involved, suggest ideas, give feedback and help at events so we can raise money together for extra resources for the school and children.  The committee is very active and organises a range of fund-raising and exciting social events for children and parents throughout the year.

Christmas is one of the biggest annual events for the HSA and is always lots of fun for the whole community. Look out for the save the date information and specific details from October as we hope you’ll be able to join us for some of the festive fun.  We were really lucky to raise enough funds a few years ago to install a new Food Technology Room and the new Multi Media Suite in the school. More recently we have been able to purchase the wooden climbing frame on the field, buy additional learning books, fund the times table rockstar app, science and Mayan workshops and support the year 6 leavers hoodies (a lovely memory for them when they leave!)

Here are just a few Fundraising Events the HSA tries to organise throughout the year...

Movie Nights, Discos, Cake Sales, 2nd Hand Uniform Sale, Crazy Hair Day, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Dads Camping, Ice Pop Friday, Christmas Fayre and lots of brilliant ideas all in the planning phase coming in 2024! We have been so lucky to have lots of the village residents and businesses supporting our fundraising efforts so far – including; Randalls, Seymours, George Arthurs, Cook, Pure Hair to name a few!  We are really grateful, thank you.

There are various ways you can help the HSA to fundraise!

Easyfundraising

One very easy one is by online shopping! You can earn cashback by shopping via easyfundraising.org.uk and nominating Hammond Junior School as your payee – it’s really simple to do and you’ll be amazed at how quickly this adds up!  Please download the app and take a look.

Stamptastic

The HSA can also earn cashback through labelling solutions. Stamptastic is a personalised ink stamp which you can order via their website and entering code GU18 5TS
