Antibullying

At Hammond School we aim to create an atmosphere of openness and honesty, where children feel confident to admit mistakes and be praised for their honesty. We nurture our learners to be caring and respectful of each other and tell an adult as soon as possible if they see an incident that they think could be bullying. Children are actively taught what bullying is, the types of behaviours it entails and what to do if they feel they are being bullied.

A copy of our Antibullying Policy can be accessed here which defines bullying and different types, how we work to prevent bullying, and how we work to detect, report and address bullying concerns. We also have a child-friendly version which our Pupil Parliament have helped to write, and has been shared with all our pupils.

A copy of our Wellbeing Leaflet for Pupils can also be accessed here, along with our Wellbeing Leaflet for Parents.
