School Lunches

Surrey Commercial Services provide school dinners cooked in our onsite kitchen. The service is a cafeteria style and there is a choice of meals, including a main meal and a dessert. The school meals follow a Healthy eating Plan which includes fruit and vegetables daily.

Electronic copies of the school meals brochure 'The A-Z of Surrey School Meals' can be found at which provides lots of information on the ingredients used, the menus planned and their 'Gold' standard achieved against the government's food standards.

Children may eat in the dining room or hall and, when weather permits, at picnic tables situated outside. Packed lunch and dinner children may sit together. It is possible to pay online for dinners and some parents may be eligible for free lunches at school for their child. Pupils who require a special diet are provided for by the school catering service after parents have discussed requirements with the School Caterer and completed the appropriate forms. Drinking water is available for all children.

Packed lunches may be provided for children to eat in school but all drinks must be brought in a plastic flask as there is a strict no glass container policy.  Packed lunches must be in a labelled lunch container and any waste and uneaten food taken home. An inclusive ice pack is necessary in Summer months, as the boxes cannot be refrigerated during the morning.

Children who normally bring in a packed lunch may take advantage of a school hot meal on any day and the cost of the meal will be added onto your ParentMail Lunch account, this needs to be requested at the normal time in the morning as part of registration.
