Pupil Parliament

Our Pupil Parliament members have been elected and are thoroughly enjoying their roles!

As part of the election process each candidate had to explain to their class members why they thought they would be a a good class representative and after a vote, a Pupil parliament member was elected.

With the HSA (Hammond School Association) kindly agreeing to fund and support the Pupil Parliament, we are excited to announce that "The Hammond Toast Shop" is returning. The children have worked hard to create informative and eye-catching posters advertising the return.

From the 4th November, the Hammond Toast Shop will be run by the Pupil Parliament at break times twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, for the children to purchase one piece of toast as a different and healthy snack. Please see below the timetable for each year group's day to visit the toast shop over the next half term.

Year group

7th November, 21st November and 5th December

Each slice of buttered toast will cost 20p, with additional toppings, such as marmite, jam and honey, incurring an extra charge of 10p. Profits made from the toast shop will be given to the wonderful charity, WaterAid. Water Aid aims to help millions who are denied access to clean water, decent toilet facilities and good hygiene

Any donations of unopened condiments, (including: jam, marmite, honey or marmalade) butter spreads or bread would be most welcome. Please note, due to severe nut allergies amongst the pupils and staff, we remain a nut free school and will not be able to accept or offer nut butters of any kind. Furthermore, chocolate spreads cannot be accepted for the same reason and we thank you for your understanding in this matter. Donations can be given to Miss Cunningham.
